Hello!

I want to do a simple energy calculation in Excel and have found an Excel template for calculating the heating power needs for a building. See here under "indicator 1 - calculation tool 2 - in the Excel template, there is DVUT and geographical adjustment factors.

The unit you get there is Watts per square meter Atemp (W/m2, Atemp). I'm wondering if it's possible to convert this to kWh/year/m2, Atemp in an easy way? In other words, how do I go from W to Wh/Year? Anyone knows...?

Thank you for your response!

1 W over a year becomes 1x365x24 = 8760 Wh
Therefore, 1 W = 8.76 kWh/year.

You probably have most of what you need. You must have the number of degree days per year for the location where the house is situated. It's not possible to directly state the annual energy requirement based only on the values you've provided.
