Don't really know where to post my question, but I think it has a bit to do with construction techniques.

I have built a house for my robotic lawnmower, now I'm fixing gutters and downpipes.

But I don't know how to determine the angle on the fascia board.

Is there any kind soul who can help me calculate it?

If everything is correct, the roof is 30 degrees I hope, but not entirely sure.

I have no idea how to figure out which angle I need for the gutter brackets to make it right.

  • A ruler measuring the angle of a white fascia board on a small wooden structure, built as a house for a robotic lawnmower, in a workshop setting.
  • A person measuring the angle of a roof edge with a protractor and ruler on a small shed, likely for a robotic lawn mower.
  • Model of a small gray wooden house with a sloped roof, located in a garage. The focus is on the roof's edges, related to gutter installation.

Use a bevel gauge or folding ruler. It should follow the ceiling and then go vertically down. Then bend according to that angle.

bevel gauge unfortunately do not have, but folding rule, but how do you do then?

Place it as you have placed the vinkelhake. But where the folding rule is on the vinkelhake, angle it down vertically with the folding rule.

Place it with one joint outside the roof edge and hang it down vertically.. transfer to the hook.

If you want to bend a hook so that it hangs completely vertically, the angle will be 120 degrees with a ceiling angle of 30.

  • Hand-drawn diagram showing angles of 30, 60, 90, and 120 degrees on a grid, illustrating bending a hook to hang vertically.

I'm going to 3D print, so I need to try to get the angle where the gutter should be.

I can do a test at 120g on the bracket and see how it turns out.

Place a spirit level on the bargeboard and draw a horizontal and a vertical line. You will then have a right-angle triangle where a part of the edge of the bargeboard constitutes the hypotenuse. Measure the two sides you have drawn and calculate the roof angle as arctan(vertical side divided by horizontal side).

Realized today that the angle to the gutters was the least of my problems😫

Need to rebuild the whole house:/

Noo has it warped?😢

No, it's the track for the garage door that hits the ceiling. So I have to raise the gables😫🤯 for the roof to fit.

Is it the customer who has changed their mind or is it the designer who isn't aware of what is supposed to fit? This is how it is sometimes with house building, but as a craftsman, you get a bit tired when they can't make up their minds or keep track of things... I hope you're working on a rolling account...
😂

Otherwise fine! 👍

Hahah... No, it's all myself, unfortunately, so no one to blame 😂😉

So just to start over, we'll see when I actually tackle the house again. It's cold to be standing in the garage working on it.

All house builders have underfloor heating and a long can to help keep warm 😉😂
