I am building a carport with a small storage room and need to reinforce the carport section. In other places, I have used perforated tape from Joma 1.5x20 mm, but in the roof, for aesthetic reasons, I would like it to look a bit nicer. I was thinking of using stainless steel cable and turnbuckle. Planning a cross in the roof, but it would only be attached to the roof truss nearest to the storage room and the truss furthest out. I have 3 mm cable and turnbuckle "on the shelf," which are significantly slimmer than the perforated tape. Could that possibly work?
