Has anyone here installed Byggmax ceiling? I thought it was a really good price, but it makes you a bit suspicious..?
I have installed the ceiling which is based on some fiberboard at home, found no faults.
I have seen that sometimes they have a ceiling based on particleboard as well, I use that as a livelihood, but then it is purchased from a finer store...
The tongue-and-groove ceiling requires nailing the clips quite closely,,
Both ceilings are okay when they are up there..

It was this roof I was thinking of, it is made with chipboard:

Mälor? I was planning to first fasten the boards lightly with a nail gun and then screw in the not. Is that wrong?

Also check that the ceiling is paintable. It would be frustrating if you want to repaint the ceiling in three years and it's not possible.
I looked at a similar ceiling at Coop bygg (foil-covered chipboard) and it was paintable. I haven't explicitly read that this one is, but it should be, right?
Sounds good with mälarpistol. Maybe one could use a strong staple gun with mälor in it?

I don't think you'll find a stapler that handles staples, but it might happen that Biltema or Jula might have a stapler, I wouldn't recommend a regular nail gun, the heads are too small to hold the board.. But for one room, a screwdriver will do, it's different if you're going to build a couple of houses a month...
If it's foil-covered particle board, there might be issues. It depends a bit on what kind of foil it is. Check to see if it's really possible to paint over. Or not if you weren't planning to paint over it.
I know that the discs were painted over at one point, without any particular preparations, although it was quite recently. It remains to be seen how it ends up.. Otherwise, the discs are replaced again..
It would be nice to change the panels every time they look bad, after all, it is 40 sqm...
I don't understand why there would be a problem, it should work with regular plastic paint, right? As I understand, almost all ceiling panels are foil-covered chipboard or?
Master: Is this the exact ceiling you are installing? I seem to recall it said "Regina" on the packaging.
Edit: Found some more info:

Here is a datasheet, but it says that it is MDF and nothing about painting:

Our items come on pallets, with white cardboard as transport protection, have not seen/looked for markings. The only difference I've seen is that ours are 240X60 + the groove. I wonder if I haven't seen the "same" board marked swedspan or something. I assume the same manufacturer has different lengths in their assortment. I'm not 100% sure it's exactly the same, but I know several other "brand products" that are also sold in low-price packaging. The tip is otherwise to feel, break, and scratch a damaged board a little before you buy anything.
I was looking at the boards at Byggmax the other day, and they looked quite okay. What I noticed was that the foil was somewhat loose in the groove on some boards, but you insert that into the next board anyway, so it shouldn't be an issue.
What I'm worried about is that the foil itself is of lower quality and yellows quickly. Is that something you've heard of?
Another thing: how do you usually lay the roof? With staggered lengths, or the joints in exactly the same place all the time?
If nothing comes up this evening, I'll probably go and buy them at Byggmax tomorrow.

Shouldn't really be worse than having to use a proper primer before painting them.
