When we built our house about 1.5 years ago, I ordered all the wood for the sauna from the Estonian site saunainter.com with very good results, delivered to the door on time, the wood was of very good quality and I saved about 30-40% (including transport) compared to buying it here at home.

So now that I have a few new projects to tackle, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of any online stores in the Baltics/Poland/Germany where you can buy wood materials. I'm planning to build a pergola and would love to do it in Siberian larch since we've built the rest of the patio in larch, but the prices are crazy here, especially for slightly thicker dimensions – it should hopefully be better there, I thought.

Anyone have any good tips? All the import threads I could find here on the forum are several years old, but I can hardly be the only one who's thought along these lines in recent years?

Agree that there is money to save, an acquaintance has started sketching on the deck and we will start looking into what it might cost to get everything home from abroad
