I myself have just bought a house and materials are expensive, or rather, you can buy the same quality for half the price in Poland, among other places.
Take a bus to Poland and shop for building materials, then load everything onto a truck to Sweden?
I drive buses on a daily basis and am currently planning to start running 3-day trips to Poland by bus. (Day 1 = travel day. Day 2 = shopping day. Day 3 = return trip) A bus will be driven together with a truck. An estimated price for 2 nights with breakfast at a hotel, a pallet space on the truck, and the trip is about 3000 SEK.
Of course, you can buy additional pallet spaces depending on how much you plan to purchase. The idea is also to have staff from the warehouse available to us during the day and also have a translator available. Any possible discounts will also be discussed.
Is this something for you? Could such an idea become a reality? I would be very grateful for feedback, ideas, etc.
