Sitting and calculating what I, mathematically, need in plasterboard quantities, which came to 92 boards... This covers all the interior ceilings and the interior walls that need to be clad, as well as the entire garage ceiling...

I'm a bit stressed about taking advantage of a campaign price; 75 SEK per board (1200x2500)... But maybe that price isn't such a great deal after all?

How can I safely store the boards? They should be able to handle some temperature changes, right? Does plaster absorb odors because I could store them in the warehouse, but cats have peed everywhere so the gravel doesn't smell great...

It should feel more motivating to complete the whole house if the material is paid for and ready rather than going and buying a little now and then... or?

Byggmax charges 82.50/each, Beijer 120 SEK/each.

My experience with drywall is that they easily become "dented" if you store them.
But I have no idea how long I've kept them.
For my projects nowadays, I buy, use, and discard what's leftover.

You should/must store your boards so that they don't bend and become dented.

I would probably buy for one month's consumption at a time. Then I think the boards won't have time to get so dented, even if you store them slightly incorrectly.

Shouldn't you be able to get a better price if you buy one or more whole bundles??
Ask the sellers.. The discs are usually packaged in bundles of 40
Let the discs lie down so they can last for a while.

One would like to make such "deals."

if you buy them at the regular price of 120kr each = 11040kr
If you buy them at xpris 75kr each = 6900kr

The advantages are that you have plasterboard at home, you buy it cheaper.
The downside is that they are in the way and risk getting damaged.

The difference, however, means that you can buy 33 more sheets at the regular price before you break even. So you could damage 33 sheets in the meantime and still break even. I don't think you'll manage to break that many, but...

Overall, it's small money, but at the same time every little bit helps...

If the house can handle the weight, you can bring everything inside and have two/three piles to pick from when you plaster. They're rarely in the way unless you suddenly come up with other ideas. A bundle weighs about 1000kg.

I might have to buy a package first (42) and put it in the garage... then the next package may cost more... but warped discs are of no use anyway...

Buy 2 packs (84) of discs and stack them. I have had discs lying around for several years. The important thing is, flat and dry. Does not need to be heated.

Dented?! I've never heard that they get dented.
Flat and dry, then you can store them for several years.

I would buy everything on sale now, you'll save a few thousand!

When I've walked past the piles of plasterboard in the stores, I seem to remember that the boards could sometimes look sagging at the bottom of the pile... does that straighten out or is it scrap? Should you disregard a few boards like that?

It might be the pallet that makes it look that way, there's absolutely no problem. It straightens out when you screw it in. The best thing is when you put an OSB or particle board behind it, then you'll have a fantastic wall. A tip, rent a drywall screwdriver with a strip magazine, or buy one if you're going to install drywall multiple times. I promise you'll get tired of installing 92 sheets with a regular bit and loose screws...

Besttools plasterboard tool costs around 300 pix and seems to handle plasterboard for a house. The settings are significantly worse than on a better plasterboard tool, but it is one of my most cost-effective machine investments.

As imported_jo writes, they straighten out. Buy a large batch so you don't have to go to the hardware store again...

A little OT...
Look for a used drywall screwdriver on blocket/tradera. I bought a used Makita 6842 for 1000kr on Tradera and trust me, it's been a joy to put up drywall on the pitched roof with it. For example, Biltema's collated screws fit this.

if you have space to keep them protected and so that they are not in the way, then buy several at the same time. if not, buy what you will use when you work

I checked with the store, they had a hidden stock where "customers" (haha) hadn't torn the gypsum boards apart, so you got nice sheets, and if any were defective, they deducted it. And the piles we customers could see weren't that warped, it was other wood boards that were bending.

I've cleaned out the garage, so I'll probably store them there and borrow a nice gypsum screwdriver from work and a larger model drywall lift from a friend... so it should turn out well, I hope, hehe.

I think we have had so many great things to have in our houses, storages, and garages that I've stopped buying unnecessarily, most of it was just in the way and never got used, and a lot broke.
I agree with "magnu," buy what you need and let the stores handle the storage, there will be new promotions on gypsum and everything else too.
