I now have an opening the size of a closet in the hallway, but there is currently a door with a frame there. The opening outside the frames is 64cm and the door is 55cm. How should I go about fitting a 60cm wardrobe there in an attractive way? I can say that the walls are made of lightweight concrete and brick.
What I have thought is to simply cut into the frames to make a 60cm opening and then put trim around the wardrobe to cover the frames, but I'm not sure if that will look nice. Another way is to just put casings around the opening and attach the hinges to them, then furnish the old closet in a nice way. But do you have any suggestions on how to get rid of the gap between the wardrobe frame and the wall?
