Building with clay in subzero temperatures
Hi
I am renovating an old half-timbered house and have come to the conclusion that I need to take down the old clay bricks to remove the sheet material attached to the inside of the timber frame.
I am planning to rebuild with the old clay bricks again.
My question is, is it possible to use clay mortar when it's still freezing at night?
Grateful for input.

I don't quite understand, you don't masonry with clay on the roof since clay is water-soluble?Alexander Knutsson said:

Do you have pictures?
It's not the roof I'm going to work on, but rather the sections in the facade. Afterwards, I might plaster them with lime or put back the paneling that was there before.Rejäl said:
