Hi,
I'm drawing a garage with a simple shed roof and I'm using Svenskt Trä's dimensioning tool and tables for pillars and roof beams.
For some reason, the tool selects 45x120 C24 studs for the pillars despite the low load:
""
C24 45x120 Construction Timber
Utilization degree 34%, Support reaction 3.432 kN
""
The same thing appears in their various descriptions, for example,
http://www.traguiden.se/TGtemplates/popup2spalt.aspx?id=4552&contextPage=5947 where 45x120mm is recommended as the minimum dimension.
Why couldn't one use 95x45 C24? Load-wise it is OK and when you look at, for instance, Mellby-garage, the framework is in 95mm?
