I've decided to add another set of stairs to my deck, which will be about 3 meters wide and the height between the top of the deck and the grass is about 1 meter. How many concrete piers are needed for it to be sturdy and good? One pier per stringer? Or should I cast a concrete slab with flat steel to attach the stringers to? Or any other idea that would be good and sturdy?
