Building interior wall - water pipes in the way
Hello!
We want to partition our kitchen in our condominium apartment to create an extra room, but right where we need to place the wall, there are two vertical heating pipes (see image). Unfortunately, we can't place the wall next to the pipes, as the new room would be too narrow.
Is it allowed to enclose such water pipes, and what is the easiest way to do it (how do you place the studs then)? Or do we have to reroute the pipes?
Grateful for any tips!

Just build in the pipes, no problem...
How wide is it from edge to edge on the pipes?
Editing before someone else comments; if it’s to be done properly, there should be a joint that you build in and then there should be an inspection hatch and a small pipe that indicates if it leaks

Is it possible to remove the lining at the balcony door and position the wall from there? Adjust the placement of the wall so that the pipes come as close to the new wall as possible. Making interventions in the heating pipes doesn't feel right, partly because the wall might not be permanent and partly because such pipes are under the association's responsibility. If it's a temporary solution, it is possible to build around the pipes, although it's not recommended. Is the kitchen to the right or left in the picture?
The kitchen is on the left in the picture. We would prefer not to remove the molding at the balcony door, as it will look like a makeshift solution. Agree that you don't want to interfere with the heating pipes.
I don't mind installing an inspection hatch as PCLarsson suggested if it would solve the problem, but what small pipe would you then insert to check for leaks? And how would you then place a stud in front of the pipes?
