Building in a pre-modular chimney one floor up

I am considering enclosing the chimney pipe on the second floor, it doesn't look very nice.
Of course, I first need to build a framework that I will then 'box' in with suitable board material, now to my question. What material should I use for the studs, wood or metal? How close to the chimney can I place them, outside the metal plate at the floor penetration or on it?
Good advice is gratefully received.

You can use wood or steel studs; it is a shaft you should build. Make 3 sides ready, and clad these with gypsum on the inside, then make a cover, also with gypsum on the inside, which is screwed on for possible inspection. Leave a space of about 100 mm between the chimney and the shaft. If the chimney is 200 mm in diameter, make the shaft 400 X 400 mm.

Yes, it's a shaft I'm going to build. I see a problem with your tip, I was thinking of covering the shaft with brick imitation. I think it will be difficult to unscrew for inspection then.
You should follow the manufacturer's instructions:Robert_Maria said:

On page 5 it explains what you should do.
I talked to the local chimney sweep master about the rules the other day. The response was that if you follow the instructions to the letter (for premodul in this case), it will be correct. During an inspection, they look at whether the instructions have been followed (which of course comply with the regulations).
