We have a large oak tree right where we plan to place our house. The oak tree is estimated to be 250 years old, which makes it painful to have to take it down.

Now to my question. Are there any possibilities to build the house around the oak tree, as the oak is in one corner of the house? I'm thinking that maybe the house can be placed on pillars and have a grass roof to handle the leaves.

Is there anyone who has done this or knows where to turn for professional help?

Jokes aside. You need to find an architect who wants to look at the problem.

If I have the right impression of architects, they will probably fight over the opportunity to undertake such a project. :)
