Building foil in intermediate floor?
Hi!
Can I use building plastic in the intermediate floor? I plan to insulate the intermediate floor with leftover insulation from when I insulated the walls, and since it's in small pieces, it won't just stay on the battens, so I thought I'd plastic the ceiling before the battens. But I'm unsure if that's okay?
I also have a bathroom under the intermediate floor and have read conflicting information about whether it's okay to have plastic in the ceiling of a bathroom, but the answers vary. I know that according to GVK, it's not required, but it doesn't state that you can't have it either.
The insulation in the intermediate floor is mostly for soundproofing, but I will apply full thickness along the exterior walls.
Should I use a vapor barrier instead?...Or does anyone have any other good suggestions?

The plastic prevents moisture migration upward in the house and should be clamped between the sparse and the joists. So I wouldn't exclude it and then our carpenters added insulation closest to the wall and then only soundproofing on the rest, about 50%.
