We just bought a house and are in the middle of renovations. We're going to close off a door to our bedroom, and my other half thought it would look nice with a window in that gypsum wall. The door closing itself is no problem, but how do I go about with the window? The window shouldn't be square but have an arch at the top.

You write "fusk-fönster," do you mean it should be a recessed window from one side, but wall on the other side or that it should be a window through the entire interior wall?

"the window" should be continuous and without glass. Maybe it should be described as a miniature arch instead. My thought is how to get the plasterboards on both sides in the same shape, jigsaw through both in one go?

Ah!
Gypsum is easy to cut, so I would probably make a template using masonite or something similar and simply cut it out with a utility knife. Use the same template on both sides to make it symmetrical.

Or simply make a hole straight through the wall, attach a stick or screw into it with a string that is the radius of the arch you want to create. Draw the arch, cut out with a knife or saw along the line.

Then you need to consider what you want to use to "seal" the hole. You could attach a strip of masonite that bends nicely along the arch, or simply screw some blocks here and there and resolve the rest with putty. :D
