Hello,
I am in the planning stage of building a wardrobe wall using Ikea's sliding door Hasvik and the accompanying tracks. The price is the driving factor - when compared to, for example, Elfa.
Hasvik's tracks are 2 meters long, and my wall is 3.6 meters.
This means I need to cut the tracks at one end, and the doors will overlap by a few centimeters when the wall is closed.
Has anyone done this and can share how the transition between the two tracks turned out?
I've looked a bit at the product description, and it seems like the tracks have a stop at the ends of both outer edges. If these stops are cut off, it will mean that the doors can be drawn all the way between the walls. Will it drive one crazy if the doors can be drawn all the way, and should the stops in the middle be kept? How is it with Elfa wardrobes?
Step 2 is to wallpaper the doors, and I am considering if one can have some form of drag handle that doesn't touch the other doors.
I've read some threads here in the forum, but have seen few pictures of how it turns out when it's done. Please show some pictures
