Hi, I'm considering building a trestle table. I'm thinking about the tabletop consisting of beams. Will it hold if I just glue these together and then use small beams in between, or should I use dowels or screws to assemble them to make it durable? The table will be indoors. I believe some people only use glue, but shouldn't it be insufficient for such heavy beams? I'll post a picture of a similar table

I would think that the most important thing is to get the moisture out of the timber before doing anything.

So, bring the timber into the house and let it dry for a few months first.

Certainly.. But should one glue the studs, 45x190, then some transverse small studs underneath in between. Most seem not to glue, just screws. But you don't want joints that you can see through.
