I am working on a new build and need an L-shaped staircase in a modern style with hidden stringers. I'm thinking I can cut three stringers and glue MDF as treads during construction, then cover it with Ash or Oak laminated planks that are then oiled. That way, I have both a construction staircase and a finished staircase when it’s time to move in. Like in the picture but with a landing and L-shaped Modern wooden staircase with hidden stringers in a bright, minimalist dining area. Coats hang on the left, with a woven basket and bench below. Any thoughts on that? What is important to consider?

Have no answers to give, but I'm interested in what you write.
I'm going to have such a staircase this fall, so I'm considering now whether to buy or build it myself.

I built this out of plywood and during the renovation, covered it with paneling and oak parquet. Made my own stair nosings.
