I'm moving in a month and I'm planning to design the new living room with a bit of a cinema feel.
I was thinking about building a recessed frame along the walls with spotlights in it,

I want a gap left against the wall, and it should be open from the side.
How would you build it?
What materials would you use?
Attach it to the ceiling?

Sheet metal spacers/joists, attach to ceiling, drywall & paint/spackle it in!
