That sounds exciting! Not many people in Sweden have used hempcrete, but they have more experience with the material in places like France and the UK.

However, there is some research being conducted on the material in Sweden, and of course, some information can be found online, on YouTube, and in English books.

But you probably already know this. :D

We are planning to use hempcrete in connection with renovation, but we don't have any practical experience yet.

The courses are normally held in England. However, they have been canceled due to the pandemic. I will have to experiment cautiously.

Yes, doing a test casting is probably a good idea. You have to experiment to find a suitable mix of lime, hemp, and water. If I understand correctly, you plan to build using pisé technique, i.e., ramming in molds? You can then use quite a large proportion of hemp, from what I've seen, which provides slightly better insulation value.

You mention in your blog that you're now preparing for the casting, but you're not planning to cast now in the cold, are you? What type of lime are you using?

Hi! It would be fun to hear how it has gone with this project? We are in the process of building a guest house of just under 30 square meters in southern Skåne, and are also considering hemp.
