Aha, ok! 😊

Continuing with groundwork. What gravel would you choose for geotextile fabric?

  • Gravel labeled "Makadam 4/8" with a shovel in background, used for discussing groundwork options on a geotextile fabric.
  • Crushed stone of varying sizes surrounding a shovel blade, discussed for groundwork on geotextile fabric.
Moved a lot of soil today for 12 hours. But this is what the foundation looks like right now.

When building with fris, you need to have studs underneath to put screws in.
As you did in the middle of the deck.
Wooden frame structure with joists used for building a deck, showing the layout for securing screws, as described in the forum discussion.

In your picture where you see the left side of the patio, I seem to see that the decking sticks up somewhat.
Or the trim that hangs down.
A trim is something you frame the decking with, can be slightly wider or the same width as the rest of the decking.
For the trim to get support from underneath + the screw needs something to attach to, a construction like I showed in the picture is needed (post #42).
The decking also needs to be attached to something underneath, closest to the trim.
