Hello! I'm new to this forum and not sure if I'm posting in the right section, but I hope you can help me. I've recently bought a villa in Gothenburg and will be moving in soon. I'm considering doing some work on the villa and really need guidance, so I will probably be returning to this forum often. Today, I had the idea of building a concrete patio of 24 sqm but can't find any information anywhere on how to calculate how much material I need. I know you're supposed to use crushed stone, geotextile, and concrete, but I can't figure out how to calculate how much is needed. I calculated it this way.
6m x 4m = 24 sqm if I make the slab 10 cm thick, it becomes 2.4 cubic meters. The question is how many cubic meters/kilos of crushed stone do you need, how much cement, gravel. How do you calculate this? Also, if anyone can recommend cheap materials in the Gothenburg area, a cheap rental of a concrete mixer is desirable. Byggmax and such stores may not be the cheapest in the long run to shop from, or what do you think? Grateful for any answers!
