Hello everyone.
I have torn down a wall in the basement. The wall was tightly built against the outer wall which is below ground level, so there's naturally moisture and the bottom beam is completely moisture damaged.
What is the best way to do it right? The room is used daily, so I want an interior wall feel.

Tear out all organic material, smooth the wall and paint with diffusion-open paint. Or you build a ventilated construction that can handle incoming moisture.
