Hello!

I see that this topic has been discussed before, but I still want tips and thoughts. I've started tearing down this wall and plugged the pipes that went to the radiator that was there. I think I need to remove a part of the floor to access and remove the rest of the studs at the bottom. There are many questions and the budget is tight. I’m going to build a new wall there now. My thought is metal studs with some type of particle board and drywall on without insulation between the studs. Leave a gap at the top and bottom with ventilated moldings/baseboards. I have also read about ceiling/hat profiles to avoid ceiling and floor tracks. Another idea I've had is to build a new wall outside of all that and just enclose everything. Help!?

  • Partially demolished wall with exposed ductwork and removed paneling, revealing concrete and attached vertical pipes. Unfinished renovation in progress.
  • Partial teardown of a wooden wall revealing underlying materials, including plasterboard with wallpaper. Visible are wall studs and concrete.
  • Close-up of a partially demolished vertical wooden panel above a concrete floor, with handwritten numbers on the edge.
Talk to a mason about plastering the wall. Cables, etc., can be plastered in.
