I am in the process of dividing off a laundry room in the garage part of the house. The wall will be 2.5m wide, and the side walls consist of concrete hollow blocks (1 exterior wall) and the floor of a new concrete slab with underfloor heating I cast on 200mm of cellular plastic.
The wall will contain water for the sink and machines, as well as electricity for switches and outlets.
On the laundry room side, I plan to use a wet room panel, a type of hydropanel I found at Hornbach.
For studs, I'm considering 70mm wood or metal, as well as metal on the outer edges (including the floor). The wall will be filled with glass wool slabs (or stone if it provides better fire rating).
On the other side, I'm not sure yet what to cover with, but since it’s not so moisture-exposed, regular plasterboard should work, I think.
I have a bunch of questions I'm not sure about, grateful for comments:
Wood or steel for the standing studs? Which is more torsionally rigid?
Is the hydropanel sufficient to tile directly on if I use studs like cc30?
Single or double plasterboard or hydropanel on the garage side? What’s required for the fire rating? (ie60 I assume)?
Pictures can be posted if there's interest
