Oh well. Am I the only one who often ends up in situations that lead to, "I guess I'll just do it myself then..."?

The staircase to the attic needs to be moved from the gable to the middle of the house. Or rather torn down and then a new one needs to be built. I've put up support studs on the wall where the new staircase will go and opened up the hole to the attic. The plan is for a straight staircase with closet storage underneath. It seems difficult to find carpenters who are interested (Malmö/Lund area, feel free to offer suggestions!)

I'm increasingly considering the idea that, well, I'll do it myself. I've started sketching the wall and it seems like it could work. It would then be a slightly steeper staircase with a step height of about 185 mm. But I've tried googling, and I can't find much on this forum regarding stair construction. I'm familiar with the formulas etc. But how should I construct the stringers? Glue together and notch them out, or screw and glue blocks for each step onto a support?

Underneath is, as mentioned, a hall for storing things that need to be tucked away, so there are no aesthetic demands on the underside and I'm free to add extra support posts or similar if needed.

Glue large construction boards together and trace and cut out the stringers. I saved a few mm and filed the rest. Mine is built-in though, so you can't see it anymore. :)

I'm sure there are better tips :)

It is absolutely possible to build a staircase yourself. However, it might take a few hours. Regarding the stringers, I bought pre-glued pieces from Ceos in Norrköping. There should be something similar available near you, or alternatively, you can probably check with a furniture carpentry if you can buy wood from them.

Good luck with the build.
