We are going to repaint the pool house and I need to build a temporary bridge over the pool so we can place the ladder there. The pool is 4 m wide.

I was thinking of using 45x95 joists on edge, c/c 30, and then a regular 12 mm chipboard on top. What do you think about the durability of that? Should I go with 45x120 right away?

No one?

Set support down in the pool!

45*95 cc60 should be fine if you don't weigh over 130 kg. Just test it and see how much sway you can tolerate. Load-bearing is hardly an issue. If it sways, use cc45 instead.

Otherwise, you can take the opportunity to buy beams that are 45*220, which you lay on the platform in four pieces that you move along as you paint the ceiling. Good to have for scaffolding when the house needs painting or other facade work that needs to be done from time to time when you own a house.

Thanks for the answers. I bought 45x120 over the weekend and set cc30, turned out super stable :)
