Hello!

We are planning to move the door opening to our bedroom. My question is what dimension I need for the studs since it is not a load-bearing structure. The wall around the opening is probably made of horizontal timber and is almost 16 cm thick. The idea is to build a new closet where the opening is right now, so I want the wall to be as thin as possible. Is 45x45 mm stud enough?

Strange that the picture ended up sideways!!!

45x45 is absolutely sufficient, place struts a little closer and screw on the gypsum board or another rigid board properly.
ps add a bit of insulation to avoid resonance noise too

Something like that was what I had in mind. Thanks ragnar13, then I'm not completely off track..
