Hello!
After much consideration, I have decided to replace the entire heating system in our new project. I'm going to install PEX piping and redo all the electrical wiring while also adding internal insulation. Currently, the walls consist of log construction, clay plaster, and Masonite boards. Are there any disadvantages to building the new wall directly on top of the old one so that I don't have to chip away all the clay plaster, etc.? In other words, building directly on the old wall.
