Build box for washing machine and dryer
I am in the process of getting some kind of platform for the laundry room to place the washing machine and dryer on for a more convenient working height.
The idea is that the platform should be 30-40cm high to raise the machines nicely.
I don't want to cast a platform as it would be so very permanent (no shit sherlock), so I thought about building one from wood.
45x45 studs screwed into a frame of 1300x760. One on the floor and one about 30-40cm up in the air braced in the inner corners with 45x45 and then cover the whole box with plywood or something similar.
Any opinions on this? How could it be with resonance in the box?
Is it better to take 2"X9" and screw it into a frame and put a plywood cover on top?
Would be more stable, less fiddling, but can't screw the machines from underneath.

Why enclose the space? Isn't it smarter to make a T, so to speak, and get good spaces for drawers with detergent, clothespins, etc.? Gör Så has had articles about this. I believe they used some type of lightweight concrete board.
I have the article at home somewhere, I recall they used some sort of lightweight concrete blocks that are glued together. The blocks are probably standing loosely on the floor, the construction is stable anyway.Beppo said:
