We have an outbuilding at our summer place where we are considering whether we can build a guest room in part of it.
The idea is for it to be very simple. No water/sewage, as that is in the main house. Basic electricity will be installed. No permanent heating.
It should be used in the summer, maybe occasionally from May to September.
Normally unheated. If it feels cold/damp, a temporary heat source (electric fan heater or similar) can be used.
Never intended to be used from October to April.
Currently, there is no floor but simple exterior walls and a roof.
How should it be designed?
Should it be insulated? Walls/floor/ceiling.
Materials for walls/ceiling/floor.
Windproofing paper/plastic?
Is there a risk of moisture/mold if it isn't made into a "proper" room and kept at a minimal temperature?
Anything else to consider for a space like this? Ventilation, for example.
