I've tried to draw an explanatory picture as detailed as possible (see below).
I plan to install a frosted glass panel, 8mm, as a backsplash in the kitchen and would like to also install an LED strip behind it for lighting. To achieve the best and most even light distribution possible, I would like to place some form of molding at the top and possibly at the bottom to which I can also attach the LED strip. As shown in the picture, there is also a small gap between the wall and the countertop (about 2-3cm).
If the glass panel is placed directly on the countertop with silicone, what type of molding would work well to install at the top that can both be attached to the wall behind and also serve as support for the glass panel?
I've looked a bit at quarter rounds and similar options, but is there something even more suitable for this purpose?
