Hi,
I just started renovating my basement, discovered that the walls were insulated, so it's just a matter of getting started. Concrete walls that are in pretty bad condition. I was thinking of hiring a mason to plaster it, but then I saw rollable filler at Biltema....wondering if I can roll it and then brush it to get a rough texture. Am I completely off base or do you think it's possible? I'm completely new to this so the question might be completely ridiculous.

Yes, it is. I repair slightly larger holes beforehand, but that final finish? I'm aiming for that slightly rough look.
Or?! There is plaster on the walls now. Rough texture but holes here & there.
