Brick up garage door and install double doors
Hi, I've done some masonry and casting before, don't see it as a big deal and it's actually quite fun.
However, I'm wondering, just like with joint spackling and similar tasks, how do you get it nice against the top and right sides against an already plastered wall? (The door will be mounted on the left side when viewed from the front.) Should you chip away old plaster to bridge new plaster over the joint on the top and side?
Then I have a small level difference I was thinking of casting to create a floor in the garage. Should it be enough to screw in some screws with some thinner reinforcement so it doesn't crack? Let's say it's about 5cm high. I also have a lot of leveling compound at home, can I use that or is coarse concrete necessary?
These are basically my two questions. I'm awaiting approval for building permits and am planning a bit lightly beforehand.

Was thinking along the same lines, there are some cracks and unevenness so I thought it would be the easiest. That steel frame should also be removed, don't know yet what kind of flooring I should have though.. See picture

fine materials in compound, coarser in concrete.
cast with fine concrete and nothing else

Having trouble pasting the images unfortunately.. One of the pictures also shows the started painting of the plinth, but the overall view is visible.
