Brad Floor Molding Nail

I am going to nail skirting boards (15mm deep) on a drywall and have read that one should use brads and that the nail should be at least 2.5 times larger than the board's depth. So my question is, can I use these
https://www.clasohlson.com/se/p/21-2667 in 40mmx1.7 mm? Is 1.7 mm too big?

It works well, it's like there's no strain on the strips so they should just stay in place.

Keep in mind to try hitting the studs only. If you just nail into the drywall, it won't hold well.
