Hello everyone!
Right now I'm renovating my kitchen..
Behind the fiberboards on the wall, there's a black paper,
asphalt paper I assume it is.
And behind this is a wooden wall. Should I also tear down the black paper and replace it with new?
Or should one use plastic?
What is the black paper called, and what should it be replaced with if so?
Some tips and tricks would be appreciated..

Tar paper (wind paper) is what you mean, I'm sure. I assume you have a plank wall behind it? I would have let it stay, or replaced it if it's bad. When you talk to "experts," many say that it's not wrong to use plastic in your case. I'm a bit skeptical about this when you only put plastic in a small part of the house. All or nothing, I think. When expanding with a modern exterior wall, you should definitely put plastic on the new part.
Yes, there is plank behind it.. I should probably replace it. It looks like a pin cushion after all the nails from the hardboard. Then it should be a good idea to use vapor barrier from t emballage?. It's a fiber cloth instead of plastic... and it's not 100% tight. It feels reassuring when it can breathe a little. Thank you for the answer..
