Hello,

I'm planning to install a sheet metal roof (TP20) on a cold storage unit without an underlayer. To avoid condensate dripping from the roof, I'm thinking of using so-called condensation fabric from Bison. What I don't understand is what to do at the eaves.

The instructions state that the fabric should be extended over the eaves flashing and that the support for the eaves flashing should be recessed into the rafters. But then I can't place the batten where I'm supposed to secure the sheet as indicated for TP20. This creates a pocket for water.

Anyone?

Should I interpret Bision's instructions such that a small spacer should be mounted for the last batten at the eaves so that the batten is raised above the eave flashing. By using a 10mm spacer, a gap is created where water can flow over the eave flashing and into the gutter.

Can a sheet be bent up at the end with 10mm?

Can a sheet withstand being bent at the edge with 10mm?
We now have the same problem here. How did you do it?

I haven't gotten that far yet.

Feel free to let me know how you solve it.

However, I believe it should be solved like this:

Roof batten, type 45x145
Bisonväv
Batten, type 12mm that goes down over the flashing and lies on and along the ridge
Nail batten for the sheet metal
Sheet metal

It's that batten that creates a space so that it's possible to set a nail batten at the roof edge and simultaneously be able to pull over the fabric.
