I'm planning to create a tiled shower area in the basement. It's interior walls. One is a hollow concrete wall and the other is a lightweight concrete wall. The walls are plastered now, but I'm in the process of removing all the plaster. To achieve a smooth surface to tile on, I'm considering attaching moisture-resistant gypsum board to the walls with tile adhesive. It seems like a quick and simple method compared to replastering the walls. Do you think it's a good idea?
Edit: It should say attach, not best in the headline.
