I need to raise some floors. I don't remember if the existing one is 32mm chipboard flooring.. so now 12mm chipboard flooring will be laid on top.

Are there any really good screws for this... and should I use regular wood glue?

As a happy amateur, I spontaneously think of 4.2x41mm chipboard screws and gluing the boards with winter glue. Screw across with cc60 and cc30 on the short/long sides.

That's probably how I would have done it anyway... :blushing:

Winter glue? What is it and what is the reasoning for choosing it?
The store (online) didn't have anything by that name. Is this something hard to find or that goes by another name?

There is a screw that has reverse threads, can't remember what it's called, but surely someone here in the forum has a box on the shelf next to the computer who can take a look.:) It presses the discs down well.

I would have used regular wood glue unless you have below freezing temperatures when you're going to screw.

Winter glue is common wood glue for winter use (I believe it contains glycol) that both Casco and Bostik have as a standard in their range, easy to find at any regular hardware store and available in 4-liter jugs if a lot of gluing is needed. It is also said to be particularly suitable for bonding particle boards and subfloors and is recommended by most manufacturers of particle boards.

As Helioz says, winter glue is everywhere. For example http://www.byggmax.com/se-sv/Prod/PID-18004.aspx

I got the tip from a carpenter to use winter glue when I was laying chipboard flooring in the attic that we converted into a bedroom.
