An acquaintance contacted me tonight and asked if I wanted to buy loose fill insulation.
It was paroc I think they were called and were 20kg per sack/bale.
I would get it for 160:- each if I bought at least 40m3.

Is it a good price?

I'm in the process of building a 135 m2 garage that I need to insulate between the joists (cold attic), so it would be perfect there :) but it might be 2-3 years before it gets insulated.. But if it's a good price, maybe I should go for it.. So is it a good price?

279:- for 17.6 kg charges Byggmax.

S
if it needs to be isolated two-three forward, I would skip buying it.
hard to store well, takes up a lot of space

Yes, he said that Byggmax took around 300:- so 160:- felt good,

Yeah, it's this thing with storage.. Might be able to squeeze in a bit here and there but oh well..

By the way, do you use lösull in the garage ceiling? I'm thinking of a framework trussed roof so that I can have a cold attic on the upper floor.. Then lösull should be quite good compared to panels?

Is it regular stone wool? 169:- / 20 kg Rockwool at cheapy. Additionally, they sometimes run promotions with a ten percent discount, so I wouldn't throw myself headlong after your acquaintance's bales. Now maybe there's a big difference in lambda value, which naturally affects it.

probably regular mineral wool, probably the same as at cheapy.
since I live in the Sundsvall area, it's difficult for me to shop at cheapy since the nearest one is in Sandviken.

shipping for loose wool seems to cost 5000:- at cheapy regardless of how much you buy..
