Hello,
We are in the process of extending our house, two floors being built in aerated concrete. Problems have now arisen with beams for windows and doors, and we are wondering if anyone here can give us good advice.

The background is this. We have bought H+H aerated concrete blocks from Poland, dimensions 365*250*625. For this, we have received beams that are 175*124*2000. The seller suggests that we glue the beams together lengthwise, resulting in 365*124*2000. To achieve the same height as the blocks, we then need to cut the blocks to make them thinner, i.e., 365*124*625. This feels a bit suspicious, and when I turn to H+H in Sweden, I get different answers;

  • The H+H representative in Sweden offers beams 150*200*2000 + 200*200*2000, still suggesting gluing them together lengthwise. (different dimension in Sweden than in Poland).
  • H+H customer service responds that I should have beams that are 365*200*2000.
Is there anyone who really knows about this and can give me an answer on what we should buy? Very grateful for quick responses!!!
