I am currently performing a load-bearing calculation for a floor joist that spans over a culvert with beams constructed from Siporex lightweight concrete elementary.
The construction was built in 1962. I haven't been on site yet, but the drawing states:
Siporex BJ 0.5/400 with dimensions 125x500x1000 and
Siporex BJ 0.5/600 with dimensions 125x500x2000
Can anyone provide input on what these "BJ 0.5/400" mean? Are these beams reinforced?
It's very difficult to find information on these Siporex beams and make a full assessment here.
Hello, I have the exact same question;-) Can someone answer what BJ.0,5/400 means? The beams are 549 cm long, 25 cm high, and 50 cm wide. What load can these beams withstand?
Best regards, Ivan
