Beam in foundation, but entrance terrace should be c 25 cm higher (brick facade), how to proceed?

In connection with drainage, I will replace my old entrance stairs and build a new one with an extension in the form of a small mini-deck 1.8 x 1.5 m on one side. The old stairs were attached to the sill under the entrance door. Now there will be more weight on one side, so I can't attach the new solution in the same way. I have considered a support beam at the top of the foundation wall, but the problem then is that there will be about 25 cm from the top of the support beam to the deck. I don't think it can be fixed so it looks good.
Can I instead take 3 pieces of 90x90 posts and attach them vertically from the ground level of the foundation and about 50 cm up (before the brick starts) and then attach a horizontal support beam at the "right" height on these posts? The idea is then to use 2 of the posts as ends for the deck railing. Other corners will also be 90x90 on footings, possibly extended at the top to support a simple roof.
Would 70x70 be enough?
