I'm about to buy my first house and would need some advice.

It is a 1 1/2 story house on a pillar foundation. The idea is to tear down two parallel walls that are also angled with the ridge. I am completely sure that at least one of them is load-bearing.

Is it okay to support with a beam even though the foundation is on pillars, or could the point load become too high?

Regards

Most things can be solved; it's really just a matter of time and money.

Without more detailed information about the construction, it's difficult to provide something more specific.

Tough that I know so little :) Have to bring in a couple of companies for quotes and try to pick up as much as possible. I'm quite handy but have zero knowledge of building construction.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
