Does batten 28x48 work as a nail batten with support from old baseboards from the previous facade? I've purchased 28x48, but now see that it's recommended everywhere to have at least 28x70...
Is the width (48 vs 70) the most important, or what is most important?
As I mentioned, I will reinstall the baseboards that were there before (I had to remove a bunch because the drip edges were nailed with so many nails) again, which are 22x145. And on these, I would then place the nail battens 28x48 to create an air gap.
I will only need to splice in one spot, and I can then place double 28x48s there for easier splicing...
Any problem? Too weak nail batten concerning the width? I know 28mm works, even though 34 is now recommended over 28...
