I have an existing foundation (pillar foundation) of about 12x6 m. in connection with a cabin (connected to the cabin's foundation) that will be extended by about 26 sqm.
A large part of the foundation will thus be unused, and I therefore want to construct a deck on that area.
The problem is that the timber used for laying the foundation is untreated.
Do I absolutely have to replace the timber with treated timber for the part that will be used as a deck, or could there be other solutions?
