Basement walls insulated with blue concrete
Hello everyone! Here is my first post which I hope is in the right place.
We recently moved to a new (for us... built in 1968) house. In the basement, the exterior walls are insulated with blåbetong and since airthings indicates that we have some radon in the basement, this could be one of the causes (possibly also soil radon).
FTX is not an option but we are improving the ventilation with supply air and will install pax fans.
I know you can buy a gamma meter (the municipality didn't have one to borrow...) and we might do that to see if these walls are part or all of the cause of the radon level.
But if these walls are the cause and we want to fix it, the best thing to do seems to be to tear them down (the frame is concrete hollow blocks, so it's just the innermost layer that is blåbetong).
Can we instead build ventilated walls? How should these be built when we want to keep the room closed so that radon doesn't get in?
Radon wallpaper doesn't seem great so I'd prefer to skip that.
Grateful for tips!

We recently moved to a new (for us... built in 1968) house. In the basement, the outer walls are insulated with blåbetong, and since Airthings says we have some radon in the basement, this could be one of the causes (possibly also ground radon).
Ftx is not an option, but we are improving the ventilation with fresh air supply and will be installing pax fans.
I know you can buy a gamma meter (the municipality didn't have one to loan...) and this might be done to see if these walls are part of/ the whole cause of the radon level.
But if these walls are the cause and we want to address it, the best seems, of course, to tear them down (the frame is concrete hollow blocks, so it's just the innermost layer that is blåbetong).
Can you instead build ventilated walls? How should these be constructed when we want it sealed off from the room so that the radon doesn't get in?
Radon wallpaper doesn't seem to be great, so I'd happily skip that.
Grateful for tips!
I am now reading the thread and wondering what you did with your blåbetong walls?
