Hi, I've built a corner module on the wall for the kitchen fan that will sit above the corner stove. At the bottom of the panel, the plasterboard itself is "naked" and I would like to try to cover this in some way. Spackle doesn't seem like an option since it will be over the stove and spackle is so crumbly, and I don't want that in the food... I'm wondering if there's a harder spackle, like something plastic-like that can be painted and won't let water through if steam from boiling water hits it...

Does anyone have any tips?

One option is to attach a corner strip to the lower edge if it fits in.

But how have you planned for this "corner module" to look otherwise? What kind of surface should it have, tiled or..?

nah it's wallpapered...
not sure if it shows well in this picture.
but in the middle of the corner-mounted part,
the fan should be placed.

Just a thought.
EVERYTHING near a fan gets greasy.
The edge of a plasterboard absorbs moisture.
Even if you put some kind of trim over it, I would, for example, paint the edge first.
Otherwise, the board might dissolve...

I don't know if this is right but it just struck me...
