Hi, just wanted to start by saying that I'm new here!

So:

The bridge that leads to my house is starting to get bad. It's the load-bearing planks that are bad.
Yeah, funny enough they're using planks 70x200mm, I think it is now.

But now I'm considering replacing the planks before a car goes through.

I'm thinking about having some sort of beam. I've also considered casting but it seems like the time/cost is more.
Give me suggestions. H, I, or U beams, etc.

The bridge is about 6m.

Thanks for the responses

A steel beam is probably the best and easiest, try to drill all the holes before you paint it so you can avoid rust for a while. I is the most common. However, I don't know which dimension.

get an amphibious car and you won't need a bridge! :)

I didn't think of that.
